Abstract

Youth participation in village development is very important for the progress of the nation and village, because they are the key to the sustainability of civilization and development. This research aims to analyze youth participation in Kemiri Village, Buduran District, Sidoarjo Regency. The approach used is qualitative with descriptive methods and purposive sampling techniques to select relevant informants. The research results show that in terms of idea participation, the youth of Kemiri Village have not provided ideas or aspirations, but they have participated in confirming the allocated funds. In labor participation, youth are involved in mutual cooperation activities, community empowerment, and others, although only a few are involved. In property participation, they donated equipment such as sound systems, laptops and pickup trucks for village activities. Apart from that, youth are also developing catfish cultivation to increase the skills and income of organizations and village residents.
