The hydrant system is one of the essential components in building fire protection systems. To maintain stable pressure within the hydrant pipe network and ensure readiness during emergencies, a jockey pump or pressure maintenance pump is required to operate automatically. This study aims to analyze the feasibility of selecting a CR vertical multistage pump as the pressure maintenance pump for a hydrant system in a building with a total area of 55,000 m². The analysis is conducted by evaluating pump capacity, working pressure, energy efficiency, and compliance with applicable fire safety standards. The results show that the CR vertical multistage pump meets the technical and operational requirements for a pressure maintenance pump, with advantages in efficiency, compact design, and reliability in maintaining stable system pressure. The selection of this pump is considered appropriate to support a reliable fire protection system for large-scale buildings.
