Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between teachers' teaching efficacy and preschool children's maladaptive behavior in KB/TK Aisyiyah in Sidoarjo. Strong teaching efficacy from teachers can reduce preschool children's obstacles in the learning process. This type of research is a correlational quantitative research. The sample of this study was 200 Aisyiyah preschool teachers in Sidoarjo. The teaching efficacy variable was measured using the Teacher Sense of Efficacy Scale (TSES) with an Alpha Cronbach of 0.992, while the maladaptive behavior variable was measured using the Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire (SDQ) scale with an Alpha Cronbach of 0.756. The sampling technique used quota sampling technique and data analysis using Pearson product moment correlation. Based on the data collected, there is a negative relationship between the two variables as evidenced by the linear variable analysis and the correlation coefficient which shows a significance value of 0.004 (P<0.05).
