This study aims to analyze the effect of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model on the critical thinking skills of fourth-grade elementary school students in Social Sciences (IPS) subjects. This study uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design of the Nonequivalent Control Group Design type. The population in this study were all fourth-grade students of SDN Ngampelsari, totaling 63 students, who were divided into two groups: the experimental class (31 students) who were given the PjBL model treatment, and the control class (32 students) who used conventional methods. The instrument used was a descriptive test that included indicators of critical thinking skills, namely storytelling, babbling, interpreting, and concluding. Data were obtained through pretests and posttests, then analyzed using normality tests, homogeneity tests, paired-sample t-tests, and independent-sample t-tests with the help of SPSS software. The results showed a significant increase in critical thinking skills in the experimental class.
