Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of teachers in implementing differentiated learning in IPAS subjects in class IV-D SDN Sidoklumpuk Sidoarjo. The research method used is qualitative with a phenomenological approach. Data was collected through triangulation techniques in the form of interviews, observations, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that teachers have carried out the five main roles in differentiated instruction according to Tomlinson (2001), namely as facilitators of learning opportunities, coaches or mentors, student readers, assigners of responsibility, and teachers of learning skills. Teachers adapt instruction based on students' readiness, interests, and learning profiles through differentiation of content, process, product, and learning environment. All of these roles have been applied adaptively and reflectively, supporting the creation of meaningful and student-centered learning processes.
