This study aimed to explore teachers’ strategies in using Canva to improve students’ recount text writing skills in English as a Foreign Language (EFL) classrooms. Employing a qualitative approach with a case study design, the research was conducted at SMP Kemala Bhayangkari 7 Porong, involving two English teachers with experience in integrating Canva into their teaching practices. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, classroom observations, and document analysis. The findings revealed that teachers utilized Canva as an effective scaffolding tool to facilitate idea exploration, text organization, and student collaboration. Canva also supported constructivist teaching principles and the student-centered instructional approach by providing visual templates and engaging learning activities. The study highlights the importance of teacher readiness and digital competence in maximizing Canva’s potential as an innovative and transformative medium for writing instruction in EFL contexts.
