Abstract

Occupational safety is an important issue in the manufacturing industry due to the high risk of workplace accidents that can affect the sustainability of operations and employee well-being. This study aims to analyze the role of safety leadership in shaping a safety culture and motivating positive safety behavior in the workplace. This study uses a systematic literature review approach to evaluate the interaction between safety leadership and safety climate, and to identify factors that influence leadership effectiveness in improving safety practices. The results show that effective safety leadership contributes significantly to the formation of a positive safety culture, increases employee awareness, and encourages risk reporting. Safety climate acts as a mediator in the relationship between safety leadership and safety outcomes, creating a safer and more collaborative work environment. This study identifies a knowledge gap in the literature related to the systematic integration.
