The Influence of Convenience, Trust, and Security on Paylater Usage (Case Study on Gen Z in Sidoarjo)

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate how Generation Z in Sidoarjo uses Paylater services in relation to convenience, trust, and security. One type of digital financial innovation that is increasingly popular, especially among young people, is Paylater. However, its growing use calls for a study on the factors that influence user interest and decisions. This research adopts a quantitative approach using a survey method distributed to Gen Z respondents in Sidoarjo. The findings indicate that all three variables contribute positively and significantly to decisions to use Paylater. This means that access to services, trust in the provider, and perceptions of digital transaction security significantly affect user decisions. This study supports previous theories and research stating that the adoption of financial technology is influenced by positive perceptions of Convenience, a sense of security, and trust in the system being used.
