Abstract

PT. XYZ is a company that manufactures plastic-based products such as plastic chairs. Its production process still faces quality issues due to ineffective quality control. This study aims to control product quality using Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) methods. SPC is used to monitor the production process, while FTA identifies the causes of defects. The analysis shows a defect rate of 8.12% over three months, with the highest in November at 10.29%. The main causes of defects are human factors (lack of operator skills and process control) and machine factors (improper setup and lack of routine maintenance). Recommended improvements include enhanced operator training, regular machine maintenance, raw material quality control, and a more effective quality monitoring system.
