Abstract

This study used a qualitative descriptive method to determine the relationship between parenting styles and student achievement. In data collection, the researcher used a survey questionnaire on parenting styles. Additionally, the researcher conducted an interview with a fifth-grade student as part of the qualitative data collection.The results
showed that democratic parenting was the most frequently perceived parenting style by students, compared to authoritarian and permissive parenting styles. In terms of academic achievement, students demonstrated positive
learning outcomes. Other findings revealed a significant relationship between democratic parenting styles and student
achievement, while other parenting styles showed no significant relationship.
