This research aims to investigate the influence of Friction Stir Welding (FSW) process parameters on the tensile strength of AA6061-T651 aluminum alloy joints, as well as the contribution of each process parameter to the weld quality. AA6061-T651 material was chosen due to its good mechanical properties, lightweight nature, and corrosion resistance, making it suitable for industrial applications such as automotive and aerospace. The FSW method stands out as a superior alternative compared to conventional welding processes because it can produce joints without melting the metal, thereby minimizing welding defects like porosity and cracks. The experimental design in this study employed the Taguchi method with an L16(4⁴) Orthogonal Array. The varied process parameters included Tool Rotation Speed (TRS), Welding Speed (WS), Tool Tilt Angle (TTA), and Concave Shoulder Angle (CSA). Tensile tests were conducted according to ASTM B557M standards using a Universal Testing Machine.
