Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of guided inquiry learning model on science process skills of fourth grade elementary school students in science learning. The study used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design type Pretest-Posttest Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The population in this study were fourth grade students of SDN Gedang 1  consisting of 2 classes. The sampling technique used was probability sampling with random sampling. The sample amounted to 20 students of class IV A as the experimental class and 20 students of class IV B as the control class. Data analysis used normality, homogeneity, and one-way ANOVA tests. The results showed a p value between the posttest results of experimental and control class students, with a p value of 0.000 <0.05. The conclusion of the research is that the guided inquiry model has a significant effect on the science process skills of elementary school students.
