The use of French fries Learning Media in Improving Topic Information Writing Skills in Elementary School

Beginning writing skills are crucial in elementary education, yet many students struggle with composing sentences and show low interest in writing. At SDN Sudimoro Tulangan, initial observations showed that most second-grade students had low writing scores, averaging 63.83. To address this, the study introduced the French Fries learning media as an innovative method. Using a pre-experimental one group pretest-posttest design, 30 second-grade students were selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through writing tests conducted before and after the use of the media and analyzed using a paired sample t-test with SPSS. The results showed a significant improvement in students' writing skills, with scores increasing from 63.83 to 84.76 after the intervention. These findings indicate that the French Fries learning media can effectively enhance beginning writing skills in elementary students.
