Abstract

This study analyzes the impact of implementing a Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) system on construction worker productivity at PT Murinda Iron Steel using a Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) approach. Data were collected from 70 respondents through an online questionnaire and analyzed with IBM SPSS Amos 23. Validity and reliability tests confirmed that all indicators met statistical requirements. After modifying the model by removing certain indicators and outliers, the final model achieved an acceptable level of goodness of fit. Hypothesis testing revealed that perceptions of HSE implementation significantly affect worker productivity, with a p-value of 0.049 (<0.05) and a C.R of 1.972 (>1.96). The study concludes that implementing an HSE system in accordance with OHSAS 18001 standards contributes to improved efficiency in construction projects. Therefore, consistent and comprehensive application of HSE practices is strongly recommended to enhance worker safety and overall project performance in the construction sector.
