Abstract

Expert System for Diagnosis Detecting Stress Levels in Adolescents Certainty Fact MethodMental health in adolescents is an important aspect that is often overlooked, whereas stress that is not handled properly can have serious impacts and trigger depression or extreme actions such as suicide. This study aims to design and build a web-based expert system that can help diagnose stress levels in adolescents aged 15–24 years. This system uses the Certainty Factor (CF) method which allows decision making based on a combination of expert and user belief values ​​regarding the symptoms experienced. The software development methodology used is ESDLC with five main stages: problem identification, knowledge acquisition, needs analysis, system design, and testing. This system provides an interface for users to fill in stress symptoms, calculate CF levels, and display diagnostic results automatically.
