Abstract

PT EQY, a textile yarn spinning company in Sidoarjo, faces significant challenges related to product quality, where 1,475 bales (around 181 kg) of defective products do not meet standards. This condition causes increased production costs and disruption of process flow, which has a negative impact on the company's operation. This study aims to optimize the production process and minimize waste that occurs. In overcoming these problems, this study adopts a quality control approach through the Statistical Process Control (SPC) method. In addition, Kaizen is applied as a continuous improvement method to identify and address the root causes of defects. The integration of SPC and Kaizen is expected to improve product quality, identify sources of defects, and increase efficiency and productivity. The implementation of Kaizen specifically focuses on comprehensive improvements in all aspects, in order to achieve higher efficiency, quality, and productivity.
