Abstract

. The chrome drum process in the XYZ chrome workshop goes through several stages and there are several risks that often occur in this workshop, namely the nickel layer is cracked and the chrome on the drum is not shiny, and in 3 months, namely September, October, November 2023 there were 43 drums, 10 drums experienced cracked nickel layers and 6 drums were not shiny so that risk control and the application of methods for controlling product rejects are needed so that similar incidents do not occur, therefore risk management is very necessary. The purpose of this study was to determine the risks of nickel plating, namely the layer on the drum is too thin and even cracked and the risk of chrome on the drum is not shiny. The method used in this study is a combination of FMEA and FTA.
