Strategic Human Resource Management (HRM) is one of the human resource management perspectives that is suitable to be practiced in private Islamic educational institutions that have various HR elements to achieve the vision and mission of their institutions through long-term planning. In this study, an analysis of HRM problems in a private Islamic educational institution will be conducted and a solution strategy will be developed to overcome them through a Strategic HRM perspective. The study uses a qualitative case study approach and triangulation analysis. The findings of this study reveal that based on the results of the SWOT analysis, several problems and challenges faced by private Islamic educational institutions related to the procurement of HR, orientation and training, and maintaining quality employees were found, and the Strategic HRM approach is used to overcome these problems.
