This research explores the relationship between loneliness, interpersonal trust, and the need for affiliation, particularly in the context of using online dating apps like Bumble. The analysis results show that loneliness has a strong relationship with the need for affiliation, indicating that individuals who feel lonely tend to have a greater urge to form social connections. Interpersonal trust also contributes to this need, although its influence is weaker compared to loneliness. These findings underscore the importance of psychological factors, such as feelings of loneliness and trust in others, in encouraging someone to build social connections. This study makes an important contribution to understanding the psychological dynamics that influence the social behavior of young people in the digital era. The results are expected to serve as a basis for designing more effective social interventions to improve the psychological well-being of individuals using online dating platforms as a means of social interaction.
