Abstract

Academic Procrastination is a tendency or common habit of delaying to start and complete the implementation of necessary tasks, in order to achieve certain goals. This study aims to determine the relationship between time management and self-control and academic procrastination in vocational school students. Using a correlational quantitative approach, the sample amounted to 172 students from a population of 340 students, with a stratified random proportional sampling technique. Data were collected through time management scales (reliability 0.886), self-control (0.831), and academic procrastination (0.892) using the Likert scale. Data analysis uses multiple correlations through the JASP program. The results showed a value of F = 448.991 (p < 0.001), which means that time management and self-control were simultaneously significantly associated with academic procrastination. Pearson's correlation showed a significant negative relationship between time management (r = -0.520) and self-control (r = -0.739) with academic procrastination (p < 0.001).
