This study investigates the relationship between self-efficacy and anxiety in facing the UTBK (Computer Based Written Examination) among 12th-grade high school students. The research involved 186 participants selected using simple random sampling. Data were collected using the Zung Self-Rating Anxiety Scale (reliability = 0.829) and the General Self-Efficacy Scale (reliability = 0.751). The hypothesis proposed a significant negative correlation between self-efficacy and anxiety levels. Pearson’s Product-Moment Correlation analysis using SPSS revealed a strong negative correlation (r = -0.924, p = 0.000), supporting the research hypothesis. These findings indicate that students with higher self-efficacy tend to experience lower levels of anxiety when preparing for the UTBK. Conversely, those with lower self-efficacy are more likely to experience heightened anxiety. The results emphasize the importance of enhancing students' self efficacy to reduce exam-related anxiety and improve academic readiness.
