This study explores subjective well-being among NCT fans, specifically users of the NCTZen X app. Subjective well-being is a key indicator of psychological health, especially in emotionally involved fan communities. Using a quantitative correlational approach, data were collected from 177 NCTZen community members in Sidoarjo through accidental sampling. Respondents completed an online questionnaire using three scales: Celebrity Attitude Scale (CAS), Perceived Control Scale (PCS), and subjective well-being measures (SWLS and SPANE). Results showed a significant relationship between celebrity worship, self-control, and subjective well-being (R = 0.738; p < 0.05). Celebrity worship was negatively correlated with subjective well-being (r = -0.563), while self-control had a positive correlation (r = 0.662). This indicates that excessive idolization lowers well-being, whereas higher self-control enhances it. The study offers important insights by examining both variables simultaneously, a combination rarely explored in the context of K-Pop fandoms.
