Ketapang Village has a high level of community political participation, especially in elections. This study aims to evaluate the role of the village government in increasing community political participation in Ketapang Village during the election using role indicators according to Siagian, namely the Role of Government as a Stabilizer, the Role of Government as an Innovator, the Role of Government as a Modernizer and the Role of Government as a Pioneer. The method used is descriptive qualitative, with data collection through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that the role of the village government in encouraging community political participation in elections has not been effective.
