Abstract

This research aims to analyze Amin Abdullah's concept of thought in Islamic education with an integrative-interconnective approach. The method used in this research is a qualitative method with a library research approach. The results of this research show that the integrative-interconnective concept in Islamic education is an idea developed by Amin Abdullah to overcome the dichotomy between religious knowledge and general knowledge. This study aims to connect various scientific disciplines into one unit that strengthens each other. Amin Abdullah emphasized that religious knowledge must not be isolated from the development of modern science, and conversely, general science must have Islamic values ​​so that it is not secular. With the "Spider Web" model, Amin Abdullah explains how religious knowledge and general knowledge can be integrated with the main basis of the Al-Qur'an and Sunnah. Through this approach, Islamic education can be more relevant and competitive in the era of globalization
