Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the extent to which the mandatory Madin policy is implemented at Muhammadiyah 3 Pandaan Elementary School as part of the character education system in Pasuruan Regency and also to identify the challenges and obstacles faced in the implementation of the mandatory Madin program in elementary schools. This research is very important to conduct because the mandatory Madrasah Diniyah policy is one of the efforts by the local government to build character education based on Islamic values, especially in Pasuruan Regency. However, the implementation of this policy still faces several challenges, such as a lack of resources and difficulties in aligning this program with activities in formal schools. Meanwhile, the focus of this research is to strengthen previous studies; if the research results show that the mandatory Madin policy is effective, then this study supports previous findings that state this program is successful.
