Abstract. This study aims to determine the concept of Islamic education according to Abdullah Nashih 'Ulwan and to find out the responsibility for an educator in educating his child. The research method used is a qualitative approach, the data is collected through the documentation method, which includes concepts, approaches, procedures, and analysis of library research data from primary and secondary sources. The results showed that the concept of Islamic education taught by Abdullah Nashih 'Ulwan is to carry out one of the responsibilities of an educator, namely physical education. The goal is to shape and instill character in accordance with Islamic law. If an educator has implemented teaching in accordance with Islamic provisions then adolescents can grow in piety, faith, and have noble morals. This research is also expected to increase insight into Islamic education according to Abdullah Nashih 'Ulwan which is taught in accordance with the provisions of Islam.
