Implementasi Pendidikan Karakter Siswa Melalui Program Tahfizd Al-Qur'an di MI Darussalam Sugihwaras Candi Sidoarjo

This study explores the implementation of character education through the Al-Qur'an memorization program at MI Darussalam Sugihwaras. The program involves daily routines such as prayers before and after learning, morning activities like reading short surahs, congregational dhuha prayer, weekly memorization deposits, and developing a habit of reading and memorizing the Qur'an. These practices aim to instill honesty and discipline in students. Success factors include teacher commitment, parental involvement, and a supportive school environment. However, challenges include differences in student abilities and time constraints. The study recommends developing a more structured tahfidz curriculum and providing teacher training to enhance character education. The program demonstrates how religious practices can promote character development in students, while also acknowledging the need for adjustments to overcome challenges.
