Abstract

Gender-responsive thematic learning is still very difficult to find in elementary schools. Thematic learning has not specifically discussed gender. This can be a trigger for the emergence of a mindset in students that will continue to be carried into adulthood, resulting in the emergence of gender inequality. This research is a case study research. The subjects of this study were 2 class V teachers. The data collection techniques used in this study were interviews, observation, and documentation.  Gender-responsive thematic learning in elementary schools is carried out by determining learning objectives, making learning tools in the form of lesson plans and teaching materials that are free from elements of gender bias, and conducting fair and objective assessments. Classroom management is carried out by providing the same facilities to students in the learning process so that it does not benefit or harm one gender.
