Abstract

PT. XYZ is a company that has a problem with one of its filling machines experiencing a process failure, resulting in waste. The aim of this research is to analyze the level of machine effectiveness using the overall equipment effectiveness method and identify factors that influence effectiveness by identifying the six big losses and developing strategies to overcome these. The OEE calculation results show a value of 73.748%. This value does not yet reach the standard for the effectiveness of production equipment. The low level of effectiveness comes from losses due to machine damage with a losses value of 9.389% and losses due to equipment operating below standard speed with a losses value of 6.770%. The strategy that needs to be carried out includes making repairs to the punch clamp, filling sensor, and sealer section, as well as carrying out planned maintenance and focused improvement maintenance steps.
