PT. XYZ is a furniture manufacturing company that produces four types of doors. Demand continues to increase, reaching 600-1000 pcs, causing delays in delivery because the drying room capacity is only 500 pcs. This research aims to analyze production scheduling using the NEH method in determining makespan values and work sequences, as well as providing efficient recommendations that enable companies to meet market demand in a timely manner and optimize production time to reduce idle time due to late deliveries The results of production scheduling using the NEH method produce a smaller makespan and faster production process time compared to the FCFS method. The NEH method produces a makespan of 5.67 with the job sequence J2-J1-J3. Meanwhile, the FCFS method produces a makespan of 6.10 with the job sequence J1-J2-J3. So the NEH method is said to be optimal because it provides an improvement in makespan time of 0.43 hours.
