The Influence of the Baamboozle Educational Game on the Interest in Learning Arabic of Muhammadiyah 1 Babat High School Students

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using the Baamboozle Educational Game on the interest in learning Arabic of students at SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Babat. This study uses a quantitative approach with a correlation design to measure the relationship between the use of educational games and students interset in learning. Data were collected through a questionnaire that measured aspects of interest in learning, such as feelings of pleasure, attention, interest, and student participation in learning Arabic. Data analysis was carried out using the Product Moment correlation test through the IBM SPSS 27 application. The results showed that the Baamboozle game had an effect on interest in learning Arabic, with a correlation coefficient of 0.740, which indicates a strong and significant influence category (54.76%) on interest in learning Arabic. The findings indicate that educational games can be an effective method in increasing student’s interest in learning Arabic.
