Abstract

The digital divide between urban and rural Indonesia hinders economic, educational, and social progress due to limited internet access in remote areas. This research develops a wireless LAN-based RT/RW Net system to provide efficient, affordable internet. Using point-to-point access and specialized routers, the system overcomes geographical barriers, enabling connectivity in hard-to-reach regions. Leveraging WiFi 5 technology, it ensures better range, performance, and cost-effectiveness. Configuration is simplified with TP-Link EAP 110’s built-in application. The PPDIOO methodology (Prepare, Plan, Design, Implement, Operate, Optimize) is employed, offering a structured and flexible approach to design and optimize networks. Expected outcomes include reliable, cost-effective internet access, promoting equitable information dissemination, broader education, and economic opportunities for communities, bridging the digital gap and fostering development across Indonesia.
