Abstract

This study examines the communication style of influencer @vania on TikTok, focusing on how she engages and influences her audience. Utilizing qualitative methods, the research analyzes 117 videos posted between September 4, 2023, and March 26, 2024, selecting 20 pieces with over one million views for detailed content analysis. The findings reveal that @vania employs two primary communication styles: Controlling Style, which encourages followers to like or share products, and Equalitarian Style, used for explanations. This dual approach enables her to effectively promote products while maintaining a relatable persona. The analysis incorporates various media forms—verbal, visual, and auditory—to understand her impact. Ultimately, the study highlights how @vania's strategic use of TikTok fosters engagement and influences consumer behavior through relatable and persuasive content.
