Abstract

The rapid advancement of information technology offers opportunities for improving the quality of public services through enhanced efficiency and transparency. This study aims to develop a web-based information system to improve the process of creating and submitting certification letters at the Kemangsen Village Office, Balongbendo District, Sidoarjo Regency. The existing manual process faces several challenges, including limited service hours, inadequate information on required documents, and occasional absence of village staff. By employing the waterfall model, the developed system enables residents to access services online, fill out necessary data, and await verification efficiently. The system also facilitates administrative management of certification requests. Blackbox testing results indicate that the system operates according to the planned specifications, reducing errors and improving both convenience and efficiency for the public and village administration.
