Design A U Manometer with Variations in Tube Diameter and Flow Discharge

Abstract

A manometer is a device used to measure pressure. The manometer is made using a straight pipe with an outer diameter size of 22,26 ,32 mm, with a manometer hose measuring 4 ,6,8 mm in diameter,. The fluid that is used is resin. The test was carried out using a flow discharge of 10,15, 20 liters / minute. From the tests obtained the results of the preassure drop and pressure values on each of the pipe diameter sizes. After testing on a simple manonmeter design with  fluid, it was able to read the tested pressure of a straight pipe with a diameter of 32 cm with a flow discharge of 20 L / min resulting in the highest pressure value, while the lowest pressure was obtained by a straight pipe with a diamete size of 22 mm tube hose diameter 4mm with a flow discharge of 10 L / min.
