Abstract

Laboratories are vital in supporting learning and research in higher education, requiring adequate and well-managed facilities. At the Informatics Study Program, Universitas Muhammadiyah Sidoarjo, seven laboratories with various hardware and software face challenges in proper inventory management. This study aims to develop a “QR Code and Website-Based Laboratory Equipment Inventory and Monitoring System” to efficiently manage assets, minimize loss, and support maintenance decisions. Using the Extreme Programming methodology, the system was built with PHP and the CodeIgniter 4 framework, integrating QR Code recognition for asset identification. The system enhances asset inventory, monitoring, and maintenance, with potential for future tracking features.
