Web-Based Waste Bank Information System as a Digital Solution to Enhance the Effectiveness of Waste Management in Communities

Abstract

Inefficient waste management remains a problem in many areas, leading to low community participation in the Waste Bank program. This study aims to develop a web-based Waste Bank information system using PHP and the Laravel framework, designed to digitize the process of recording customer data, agents, waste, and transactions. The development method used is the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) with a waterfall approach, covering seven stages: planning, analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance. This application is expected to improve the efficiency of waste management and increase community participation. The results of the study indicate that the developed application can minimize manual recording errors and support the sustainability of environmental cleanliness.
