Abstract

The chiller water temperature needs to be monitored to ensure that it remains stable and within the predetermined range according to the specified parameters. Therefore, an actual monitoring device is required to continuously assess and control the chiller machine. One example of technology utilization is through the Internet of Things (IoT) using the Blynk application. This paper aims to provide an example of an IoT-based water temperature controller. The DS18B20 sensor is implemented in this device to monitor the chiller water, allowing the operator to control the chiller machine via an Android smartphone. The device is developed using an Arduino Mega 2560 R3 for data processing and wireless transmission using the ESP-8266 to the internet, accessible via smartphone. It is hoped that this tool will reduce the chiller machine operating time and facilitate temperature monitoring, enabling the operator to use their time more effectively for machine maintenance
