This study aimed to evaluate the interaction between planting distance and mulch use on sweet corn growth, using a factorial Randomized Block Design (RBD) with two factors: planting distance (70 cm x 10 cm, 70 cm x 20 cm, 70 cm x 30 cm) and mulch type (no mulch, plastic mulch, organic mulch). Observed variables included plant height, leaf number, stem diameter, leaf length, and leaf width. Data were analyzed using variance analysis followed by the BNJ test. Results indicated that planting distance and mulch significantly affected plant growth. Wider spacing (J2) and mulch application, particularly the J2M1 combination, produced the tallest plants. Planting distance did not significantly affect leaf number at the start and end of observations but did at 28 and 42 days (J3). Dense spacing (J1) yielded the largest stem diameter, while mulch had no significant effect on stem diameter, leaf length, or leaf width.
