Abstract

Project-based learning is a learning method that places students as the center of learning. This method also emphasizes the process by which the final results of the application of project method learning are obtained in increasing the independence of students aged 5-6 years. This method is greatly influenced by student activities in the classroom. This type of research uses PTK (Classroom Action Research). The background is to solve problems in a group of subjects that are observed and studied which are then given follow-up. The results of the study showed that children's independence increased in each cycle. Before the action, the percentage of children's independence during the pre-cycle was only 37.33%, cycle I reached 57.66%, and cycle II reached 84.33%. So it can be concluded that increasing the independence of children aged 5-6 years through the project method at TK PGRI III CANDIWATES was declared successful.
