The Role of Toddler Posyandu Cadres in Realizing Stunting Free Villages (Study in Kalipecabean Village, Candi District, Sidoarjo Regency)

Abstract

The research results show several roles for posyandu cadres related to how to prevent stunting cases in Kalipecabean Village. There are three roles of cadres in preventing stunting 1) Predisposing Factors, Factors to make things easier and motivate someone to make things easier and motivate someone or a group to take action. Apart from that, to approach the posyandu cadres, they also establish good communication in various ways. 2) Enabling Factor, Enabling factor in the form of theory. Health facilities, facilities and infrastructure, providing capabilities by means of technical assistance (training and guidance), providing direction, and ways to find funds for the procurement of facilities and infrastructure.s and 3) Reinforcing Factors, strengthening factors regarding the attitudes and behavior of community leaders and religious leaders, as well as officers, including health workers. In carrying out their duties and roles, posyandu cadres are accompanied by field officers or health workers.
