Abstract

Increasing the learning motivation of students at Islamic boarding schools reflects several important aspects, namely: (1) Factors causing the decline in students' learning motivation include: (a) Lack of variety in teaching methods by teachers. (b) Islamic boarding school programs tend to be monotonous and not innovative. (2) Efforts that have been implemented by Islamic boarding schools to increase students' learning motivation include: (a) Providing guidance that is consistent and not boring. (b) Enforce strict discipline.  (d) Organizing useful additional programs. (3) The challenges faced by Islamic boarding schools in efforts to increase students' learning motivation include: (a) The character of some students who are difficult to control. (b) Lack of support from the students' parents. (4) Future program plans for Islamic boarding schools to increase students' learning motivation include: (a) Improving the quality of services and facilities for students. (b) Holding comparative studies to more advanced Islamic boarding schools.
