Abstract

Analysis of the validity of the item questions can be interpreted as activities carried out when the teacher wants to test the learners so that the questions tested have the right function. This study analyzes the quality of measurement questions at the junior high school level using a quantitative survey. The method used is a quantitative survey with a population of 172 eighth-grade students at SMPN 1 Tanggulangin, with 43 students selected as a sample using the Simple Random Sampling technique. Data collection was conducted through tests, and data analysis was performed using descriptive statistics with TAP 14.7.4 software. Of the 40 questions tested on the eighth-grade students at SMPN 1 Tanggulangin, 6 questions were deemed suitable, 10 questions needed revision, and 24 questions were deemed unsuitable. It is recommended to conduct validity tests, such as expert validity, to improve the quality of the questions.
