A Product Development Analysis of PT. PG. Candi Baru Using IPA (Importance Performance Analysis) Method and QFD (Quality Function Deployment

Abstract

PT PG Candi Baru showed an increase in sales both in terms of quantity and rupiah generated over the last 5 years, but its increasing was not that significant so efforts were needed to increase the selling value of its products. There are several factors that can affect the selling price of sugar in general, so research is needed to find out the main factors affecting its selling price. The Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) – Kano method is used to determine voice of customer priorities and Quality Function Deployment (QFD) as a tool to help determine the factors that affect it. Using IPA and QFD, it can be concluded that the superiority of PT PG Candi Baru's retail sugar products compared to competitors is on product design parameters, packaging durability, and product availability, but lacking on weight consistency. to fix this deficiency it is necessary to renew the retail machine.
