Abstract

This study is a normative legal research with a systematic interpretation approach, analyzing the Consumer Protection Act No. 8 of 1999 (UUPK) in relation to the Limited Liability Company Act No. 40 of 2007. The aim is to compare the legal protection schemes provided by e-commerce platforms in Indonesia, namely Shopee, Lazada, and Tokopedia. The results show that Tokopedia excels in the speed of product returns with a strict 2x24 hour deadline, ensuring quick response and efficient problem resolution. Shopee offers high flexibility with options for refunds without requiring product returns and covers shipping costs, while Lazada provides clear procedures but is less flexible. All three platforms have adopted policies in line with UUPK to protect consumer rights, with Tokopedia being the more ideal choice in terms of return speed.
