Analisis Kemampuan Membaca Permulaan pada Siswa Sekolah Dasar dalam Prespektif Gender

This research aims to find out how early reading abilities possessed by grade 1 elementary school students at SDN Kepuhpandak 2, Mojokerto. The research approach used in this research is qualitative research (Qualitative Research). This research was carried out at SDN Kepuhpandak 2. The data collection method in this research used the triangulation method, namely observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis technique used is qualitative data consisting of data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of the research show that the initial reading ability of the first grade students of SDN Kepuh pandak 2 out of all the first grade students by taking 5 students as research subjects who have quite low abilities. The initial reading ability of students can be influenced by several factors, namely lack of motivation in reading. So many students have difficulty in beginning reading.
