Inclusive education is an educational framework that seeks to ensure equitable access to education for all individuals, including children with special needs, one of which is deaf children. This study was motivated by the difficulties of deaf children at Juwetkenongo SLBN in communicating with others. The causes include physical barriers and language barriers. This study aims to determine the strategies of shadow teachers in overcoming the communication difficulties of deaf children at Juwetkenongo SLBN. This research is classified as qualitative research with a qualitative descriptive approach whose data is obtained from observations and interviews with individuals. The study was conducted on May 17, 2024 at Juwetkenongo SLBN involving the main informant of the 4th grade shadow teacher. The results of this study found strategies owned by shadow teachers to overcome the communication difficulties of deaf children including: 1) Letter recognition method, 2) Image recognition method, 3) Outdoor learning method.
