This study investigates privacy rights violations by couriers who photograph package recipients without permission, contravening various Indonesian laws on personal data and privacy protection. Using a normative juridical approach and deductive analysis of primary legal materials, this research examines the 1945 Constitution, Law No. 8 of 1999, Law No. 19 of 2016 amending Law No. 11 of 2008, Law No. 27 of 2022, Government Regulation No. 71 of 2019, Government Regulation No. 80 of 2019, and Minister of Communication and Information Technology Regulation No. 20 of 2016. The findings indicate that unauthorized photography by couriers breaches privacy protection principles, leading to legal repercussions. Enhanced policies and stringent law enforcement are essential to safeguard consumer privacy and maintain trust in courier services. Offending couriers may face civil lawsuits and warnings. The research underscores the need for robust privacy protection measures to address this infringement and ensure consumer confidence in delivery services.
