The Qur'an plays a very important role, namely serving as the main guide for decision making. Many children entering junior high school (SMP or MT) are not yet proficient in reading the Koran because of the current phenomenon. There is research data that proves this phenomenon. This research uses a comparative quantitative approach. obtained the value of Al-Qur'an literacy ability for class VII, the highest score for MI graduates is 90 and the lowest score is 72. The average score for the "Fair" category is 79.96, which is between 78 and 80. For ability scores Al-Qur'an literacy class VII, the highest score for MI graduates is 78 and the lowest score is 62 with an average score of around 71.22 in the "Enough" category which is located in the interval 69 and 71. 3. From the calculation results, a t count of 5,874.
