At the primary school level, information literacy focuses on students' ability to review, process and organize information. However, there are limited studies that discuss the group investigation model on information literacy of elementary school students. The purpose of this study was to see the effect of group investigation model on information literacy of elementary school students. This research used experimental method with one group pretest posttest design. The population was 66 students of Muhammadiyah Elementary School then the sample was taken using Random Sampling technique as many as 22 students of grade V elementary school. The data collection technique used a questionnaire. The study showed an average pretest score of 52.95, while the average posttest score was 52.95. Data analysis using T-test showed significant results with a probability of 0.000 which is smaller than 0.05. The results showed that students' information literacy increased after the group investigation model was applied.
